I like to think that intuitive painting is following the whispers of your soul. Those quiet nudges that suggest “try this color” “play with your paintbrush in a new way”. There are no rules. We focus on color, mark making, layering and letting go of expectations. It is fun, relaxing and magical.

The more supplies, the merrier. Mixed media is a way of creting that incorporates multiple materials in one piece of art. Paints, colored pencils, acrylic paint pens, painted papers and more. You can create using as many supplies as you wish or simply two and it will still be a mixed media piece.

Absolutely not! My workshops are all about the JOY of the process. Being curious. And PLAY, not perfection is the most important part of it all. Haven’t painted since elementary school? Perfect! Painted last week? Perfect. All are welcome!

Each class is different, but you don’t need to spend a lot of money to make art! (I love to share cheap supplies and inexpensive alternatives you can use.)
For online classes: A supply list will be provided. I like to keep them simple, accessible and budget friendly. You most likely will have everything you need, but I will be sure to share links where you can buy a few things.
In-person workshops: For many of my workshops you do not need to bring a thing. I will provide you with everything you need. Just bring yourself and your curiosity.

I love teaching creators of all ages! I taught elementary art for over 20 years and it has a special place in my heart. When I left teaching, I started offering classes for adults and fell in love with that process. We all need safe places to explore and to play, no matter what age we are. Each workshop will clearly state the age range so you can find the perfect fit.

I hear this all the time. You, my dear are so welcome to any and all workshops, online or in person! My classes are not about technical perfection or creating a “masterpiece”. They’re more about play, curiosity and finding the joy in the process.

Yes! in the best way possible. “Messy hands-happy heart”, I like to say. We will be using acrylic paints and other supplies that may stain your clothing, so wear something you won’t mind getting paint on. Spills happen, even when we are being careful.
