I spent years on an art cart, so I know how to make difficult spaces work! Having said that, all we really need is a space with flat surfaces (tables or floor) and access to water. Because painting is messy, a space with easily cleanable floors (or even outdoors under cover) works best. Carpet would not be advised unless protective coverings were provided.
