WATERMELON WHISKERS

A Slice of Friendship

The Lesson: We all have different strengths—and they are best when used to help a friend.

Usually, seagulls are known for snatching snacks, but in Watermelon Whiskers, one sneaky white bird decides to use his skills for good. Meet our gentle giant, the Walrus. While he is wonderful at swimming, he is a bit too big and bulky to waddle up the beach to the picnic tables where the sweet summer treats are.

Seeing his friend hungry, left out and feeling not so good about himself, the Seagull decides to help his friend. Instead of stealing a bite for himself, he drops juicy slices of watermelon right down to the Walrus! This collection celebrates the joy of sharing, working together and the sticky, sweet "watermelon whiskers" that come from a friendship where everyone looks out for one another.
